Hijab model, 18-year-old Shatu Garko, has emerged winner of the 2021 Miss Nigeria beauty pageant.
Shatu, whose real name is Aisha, is an 18-year-old horse-riding lover that represented the North-West region of Nigeria during the recently concluded beauty pageant.
She has crowned the 44th queen of the competition during the ceremony held in Lagos on Friday night. Despite being the youngest contestant, Garko beat 17 others to become the first hijab-wearing model to wear the Miss Nigeria crown.
Shatu Garko whose net worth is estimated to be between $5 Million – $20 Million says she is passionate about proving that religion and culture are not barriers to following and achieving one’s dreams!
The beauty Queen took over the crown from Miss Etsanyi Tukura, who hails from Taraba State.
