Kenya’s youth received a boost of inspiration as Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi met with 15-year-old author and global scholar Favour Fadhili.

Favour, who launched her debut book The Silent Take from the series Of Virtue and Venom in late 2025, has already made waves locally and internationally. Her book, described as a “captivating masterpiece,” is available on major platforms, including Amazon. The Nairobi launch attracted public attention, with Ezekiel Mutua, former CEO of the Kenya Film Classification Board, praising Favour as a role model for young Kenyans.
Mudavadi’s Meeting with Favour Fadhili
According to Mudavadi, the meeting underscored the government’s commitment to identifying and supporting exceptional young talent. In a Facebook post, he emphasised that Kenya must intentionally nurture and invest in its youth who are already shaping ideas and conversations beyond the country’s borders.
During the sit-down, Mudavadi and Favour explored structured pathways to support her continued growth. Discussions included scholarships, international exchange programs, alignment with government initiatives, and platforms to amplify youth voices in national and global discourse.
Mudavadi highlighted that supporting emerging leaders like Favour strengthens national confidence and positions Kenya as a nation committed to building a globally competitive, innovative, and forward-looking generation.

Did Favour Fadhili Win Gold and Silver Medals?
Favour’s achievements extend beyond writing. She recently earned three gold medals and one silver at the prestigious Yale University Tournament of Champions, part of the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) held in New Haven, Connecticut.
This invite-only competition draws around 3,000 top scholars from over 50 countries, marking Favour’s success as a remarkable showcase of Kenyan talent on the global stage.
With her literary prowess and academic excellence, Favour Fadhili is fast emerging as a symbol of what Kenyan youth can achieve on the world stage.
