Global Mentoring Walk 2026 comes to Kaduna

The Global Mentoring Walk (GMW) is a global leadership initiative designed to foster mentorship, professional development, and leadership opportunities for emerging leaders. The GMW creates an informal but impactful environment where experienced professionals mentor young people through structured conversations during a guided walk.

Sheroes Rising for Development Initiative held the 2025 edition of the Walk in Abuja, Nigeria, where men and women leaders converged in a 90-minute exercise of impact, mentoring, and network building.

The event served as a platform for connecting experienced professionals with aspiring leaders while promoting mentorship as a key driver of personal and professional growth.

The GMW is designed to break down traditional barriers to mentorship by creating a relaxed and accessible environment where mentors and mentees can engage in meaningful conversations about leadership, career development, and personal growth.

The walk promotes and strengthens mentorship networks by connecting experienced professionals with young individuals seeking career guidance, providing a platform for such interactions with the aim of amplifying women’s leadership.
