Sheroes Rising Webinar Series: Sending a Boy to do a Man’s Job.

In commemoration of the upcoming International Women’s Day Celebration, Sheroes Rising Initiative for Development, the mother organisation of publication is holding its first webinar series on March 8th 2021.

The webinar titled ‘Sending a Boy to do a Man’s Job’, is organised to challenge underaged and Girl child marriages in Northern Nigerian Hausa societies. This is in line with the theme of the IWD 2021 celebrations ‘choose to challenge’.

The webinar which holds at 3.00 pm Nigerian time, will be the first series of webinars from the Sheroes Rising Initiative for Development. In our line of speakers, we have an amazing array of experts and professionals in Gender Advocacy, Girl child education, social commentary and mental health.

  1. Halima Wali is a Teacher and PhD Researcher on Girl Child Education at Queens University Canada.
  2. Dr Paul Ede Agbo is a consultant psychiatrist and chairman of the NMA committee on mental health.
  3. Ramatu Umar Bako is a chevening alumni, international Development Lawyer and Gender Activist.
  4. Yushau Shu’aibu is Journalist, Author, PR practitioner.
